U.S. Navy Lieutenant Commander Lucas Martinez, also known as Lucas Martinezmendieta, was arrested in Oak Harbor last Wednesday on charges of third-degree child rape of an Anacortes minor, commercial sexual abuse of a minor and communication with a minor for immoral purposes, according to the Anacortes Police Department.

According to the affidavit, Martinez made contact with the minor through the hook-up web app Sniffies, and the two exchanged texts before meeting up in November and December last year.
