A public hearing and site visit on a Sunset Cove property owner’s request that the city relinquish a shoreline public access easement was canceled because the owner has withdrawn the request, said Ryan Larsen, the city’s planning, community and economic development director.
Owner Sam Chebier offered to build a section of 8-foot wide trail around his property — on land owned by the city — so that he can build retaining walls in the current easement on the hillside at 2404 Washington Court.
