So many boats showed up for the Latitudes & Attitudes Cruiser’s Party at the Cap Sante Boat Haven this past weekend that several boaters had to be turned away from tying up at the marina.

Fire Department’s new engine arrives

I checked out the Anacortes Fire Department’s new fire engine at the city shop Thursday. It sure is shiny — and I bet the inside has that “new engine” smell. City staff are mounting additional equipment before it’s ready for service, hopefully in about a month.
